Data Strategies has performed hundreds of data conversions from other software including Sage Medical Manager and McKesson's Practice Partner. We also convert from our other software, CompuMedic. We have processes in place that, if followed, allow for a smooth transition from any system.

Electronic Medical Records

Each EMR system stores data in different fields and with various technology. Our programming team is willing to review your data and present you with your best option for moving that data into MDsuite. We can also utilize the information in customizing the setup of your MDsuite knowledge base used for documenting encounters.  

We also provide the option of converting data from your currrent EMR to carry over important data.  We have successfully performed a conversion from MediNotes and are always willing to look into converting data from other systems.

Conversion Process:

Evaluation

In order to evaluate what can be converted from your system, contact DSI. After completing a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement, we will need to look over the data and collaborate with you to determine your needs and the data that is accessible.
Once we have completed the review, a Data Conversion Agreement will be created. This agreement describes the costs involved, the data that will be converted, and the timetable for completion.

The “Dry Run” Conversion

The initial conversion is called a “Dry Run” Conversion. It is provided at about the time that training begins. During this time, you are still using your previous system, if any. Use this period to peruse the converted data looking for any important omissions or corrections. Using your data also helps in learning how MDsuite works.

The “Go Live” Conversion

Once the “dry-run” data has been approved, the target date for “go-live” is finalized. A few days before the “Go Live” date, another conversion is performed. This converted data becomes your live data that will be used by you as your starting point with MDsuite.
