Electronic Medical Records Training

Private Client Portals:

  • We make a private web page for you about your implementation and project plan. We help each other track your progress in real time. With this you have an online implementation time line, training notes, and implementation materials.   We also have EMR (Electronic Medical Record)  Worksheets you will fill out for us.  These let us know exactly what your clinic workflow is like, what interfaces you need, and share other critical information with our implementation team.

One on One Online Training:

  • First, we'll have a "kick off" call and help you develop a comprehensive timeline and project plan.  Our experienced EMR staff will loan you years of experience in EMR implementation and help you come up with just the right plan for you.
  • Second, our implementation team will spend time helping your office set up MDsuite.EMR to fit your workflow and needs.  Since the setup of every office and specialty varies, we customize your training and assistance.  We also use the information you fill out on your own private web page custom worksheets.  Then, we focus on your one-on-one learning to use the system once setup is complete.

Classes and Online Training:

  • We have several online pre-formed classes that are offered at regular intervals, including Document Management, Communications, Scheduling, and a customized class that teaches you about the integration between MDsuite electronic practice management (EPM) and electronic medical records (especially for the long-time EPM users).

Implementation Time:

  • Typically this is spent with the Lead Clinicians as the office begins using the software.  Ahead of your implementation time, we help put critical data, chart notes, and medical information into your system.  Then, during training, we teach you how to customize the data for your individual way of practicing medicine.

On-site Training and Implementation:

  • We offer and encourage on-site training once you have your beginning implementation under way.  We can help with "Go live" or simply provide further training live, in person.  On site implementation helps ensure success.   We will customize an on-site project plan and schedule, but adjust as needed to meet your needs.  Live on site personnel is especially encouraged for clinics with 2 to 3 or more providers or clinics with complex work flow needs.

Practice Management Training

Online Training Classes:

  • New Clients receive online unlimited training for a period of time during implementation.  These classes are done online live with a DSI Product Specialist, similar to a webinar.  During the training we encourage client interaction and welcome questions.  Unlimited means you can have any number of staff train and they can take as many classes as often as needed.  We vary the times and days of the week topics are covered to accommodate offices' varying needs.  Typically an office will spend the first third of their training time covering the Basic Topics i.e. setup, patient registration, billing, and scheduling.  Clients then focus on advanced topics as well as retaking any Basic classes to glean tips and tricks from our experienced Product Specialists.
  • Existing Clients can purchase online training classes individually for new staff members.  When we have new features released, many existing clients find this is a great way to get up to speed.

Implementation Time:

  • New Clients also receive one on one time.  Your account is assigned a DSI Product Specialist that acts as your coach throughout training and your go-live.  Your Product Specialist will spend this time with you one on one on the phone.  We use GoTo Meeting® in order to see your computer screen in your office to walk you through setup, billing, and posting payments.  We also can help you with advanced features, third party integrated products, and customization of MDsuite.  We also facilitate any conversion processes and interface activations.
